OUR MISSION

Jasmine Healthcare was founded by Chris Clark after he gained first-hand experience of care homes through personal family experience, where he had found the standards of accommodation and care offered to be poor. As a result, Chris passionately believes that many care homes for the elderly in England need to be improved. Consequently, Jasmine’s mission is:

By prioritising our people, our mission is to provide the highest standards of care in our own homes and to improve elderly care across our industry

OUR HOMES

Our homes are all original period properties with character, at the heart of the local communities which they serve. We endeavour to retain as many of the original features as we can, whilst sympathetically extending, modernising and refurbishing the buildings, to enhance the standard of living for all our residents.

This helps us to achieve, what we believe is the optimum size for a care home (40-50 residents), in terms of balancing the culture and community offered by them, with the facilities they offer. We also ensure that all of our homes, offer attractive private grounds, for the use of our residents and their visitors.

Jasmine provides a combination of nursing, residential and dementia care.  To see more specific details on each of our homes please see Our Homes.

OUR VALUES

At the core of everything we do, are the Jasmine Values. We believe that, by the whole Jasmine Team exemplifying these values, we will continue to achieve our Mission and Aims:
  • Passionate about providing the Highest Standards of Care
  • Committed to Training
  • To want to be One Big Team
  • To Communicate Openly, Honestly & Effectively
  • To Have & Reward a Strong Work Ethic
  • To provide a Positive Working Environment
  • To provide a Homely place for our Residents to live
  • To Embrace Change Positively
  • A belief that everyone is an Ambassador for Jasmine
  • To act with Integrity by Always Doing What we Say we will
  • To Care for the Environment

OUR AIMS

The specific aims of our mission are as follows:
  • For all our homes to have a Jasmine Compliance Score of over 80% at all times
  • For all our homes to have a team retention rate of over 70% per year
  • For over 60% of all our team to have a Diploma in Care Qualification
  • For all our homes to be rated Good or Outstanding by CQC and all other Regulatory bodies
  • For all our homes to have a www.carehomes.co.uk Rating of over 9 out of 10
  • For all our homes to be over 95% occupied, so that as many residents as possible can enjoy our high standards of care
  • For Jasmine to be able to acquire and improve under-performing homes

A few games of dominoes sounds a great way to spend a wet Wednesday morning. Many moons ago I used to love playing 'threes and fives' with my Grandma...🙂

Orchard Court are celebrating St Valentine's Day this week with a series of real life love stories from their residents. This is a beautiful story of Dorothy and her lovely husband. I'm looking forward to reading the other stories...💕❤️💕❤️💕
#feelingthelove #lovestories #OurResidents #memoriesOur first love story in our Share The Love feature................. I first clapped eyes on Dorothy when I was 16 years old, she was 15 years old. I’d heard on the grapevine that the nearby school were about to crown their May Queen so I thought I’d go by & take a look. In she came into the playground on a makeshift cart wearing her crown. Dorothy had just been crowned “May Queen”. I didn’t know who she was at the time but I knew one thing......I’d fallen hook, line & sinker! We soon became friends & spent time together. We would bike 13 miles each way from Kirton to Somerby Top to see each other. She would come over to my house in Kirton to play tennis.
After I left school I decided to join up in the RAF, I didn’t want to wait to be signed up I did it off my own back so I could decide which service to go in to. I soon got sent to Cairo in Egypt. Dorothy & I wrote to each other over the next months until one day..... I received a Dear John letter from Dorothy which put an end to our letters. Upset as I was I had to accept her decision.
18 months went by & I never forgot about Dorothy. One day out of the blue I decided to take a chance so I wrote to her again asking if she would like to write to me as friends...... To my surprise she wrote back, that letter changed my life forever......
Over the months we wrote & I asked her if we could marry. I wrote to a jewellery company in London & asked them to send me a catalogue all the way to Egypt which they did. In those days you could send half your wages home so I sent mine to my father. When I had saved enough I asked my father to send me a postal order so that I could then order Dorothy an engagement ring from the company in London. I asked them to deliver it to Dorothy’s address. You see it wasn’t me who gave Dorothy the engagement ring it was in fact the postman......
We married on February 15th 1948 & we had 3 children together. We spent 55 wonderful years together until my Dorothy passed away. We had a wonderful life together, we liked the same things, we ran a shop together, we travelled together. We never made much of Valentine’s Day we saved it for the day after our Wedding Anniversary........
